The Kansai Thru Pass covers most local trains and buses in Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. Activate on your first day of use.

Kobe beef dinner is at a renowned teppanyaki restaurant. Dietary restrictions must be communicated 48 hours in advance.

Nara deer are wild animals — approach calmly and hold crackers flat in your palm.

Fushimi Inari early morning walk starts at 7:00 AM to avoid crowds. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Travel Tips

Get an ICOCA card at Kansai Airport for seamless transit within Kansai region.

Dotonbori is busiest after 6 PM — visit Kuromon Market in the morning for a more relaxed food experience.

Gion in the evening (5–7 PM) offers the best chance to spot geisha and maiko heading to appointments.

Nara's best deer photos are taken in the morning when the light is soft and the deer are most active.

Kobe beef portions are smaller than typical steakhouse cuts — savor every bite!
