Takamatsuzuka Tomb, a circular kofun from the Asuka period (circa 7th century), is one of the few ancient burial mounds in Japan that still contains its original interior decorations. This tomb is believed to have been built for a high-ranking noble or member of the imperial family, reflecting the social and political structures of the time.
