The Atami Beach Line is a breathtaking 6.1-kilometer coastal toll road. It is not only one of the most iconic sightseeing routes in the Atami area but also one of the most rewarding coastal drives on the east coast of Honshu, Japan. Connecting Yugawara to Miyanosawa, it offers sweeping views of the deep blue Sagami Bay, resembling a sparkling blue ribbon draped along the rugged cliffs.

Driving along this road, you will see the vast, shimmering ocean on your left—on clear days, you can even spot Hatsushima and Izu Oshima in the distance. On your right, lush green mountains are dotted with charming hot spring inns and ocean-view villas, showcasing Atami's unique seaside charm. The road winds gracefully with the mountain terrain, offering a fresh, breathtaking perspective of the magnificent ocean with every turn, leaving you feeling completely refreshed.

Located in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Mt. Omuro is an extinct volcano standing 580 meters tall, famous for its perfectly symmetrical conical shape. The entire mountain is covered in lush grass, displaying different landscapes throughout the seasons, looking like a giant green velvet carpet draped over the earth. It is widely known as the "natural landmark of the Izu Peninsula."

You can easily reach the summit via the Mt. Omuro chairlift in just 6 minutes. Standing on the circular crater trail, you can enjoy an unobstructed 360° panoramic view:

One of the most iconic landmarks of the Jogasaki Coast is the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, which is 48 meters long and 23 meters high, stretching across the coastal cliffs. Located along National Route 135 and facing Sagami Bay, it features ocean-view hot springs, local delicacies, sightseeing boat tours, and a souvenir shopping center. It is an ideal pit stop for road trippers and families, as well as a trendy spot where you can easily spend half a day relaxing!
